Things to Do

The Coachella Valley area has a large number of events and activities going on all year and especially October - May ("Season"). It is impossible to list it all, but we have called out some nearby activities to get you started.         

Golf & Footgolf

• Cathedral Canyon Golf Club is open to the public and is right across the street from Canyon Shores. Nine and 18 hole courses are available.
• Cimmaron Golf Resort in Cathedral City is popular with many of our residents. A variety of membership terms are available.
• Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort nearby in Palm Springs is a public course and has an official footgolf course. Footgolf is played with regulation soccer balls, and is much cheaper than golf. Learn about footgolf.

Hiking
We have many trails, state parks, national parks, and nature preserves surrounding us. ALWAYS bring plenty of water. A few close, easy-moderate (your experience will depend on your fitness level) trails are:

• Rancho Mirage Trails: Park behind RM City Hall, The Big Horn Overlook, Jack Rabbit, Road Runner, and Chuckwalla Loop are all interconnected.
• Cathedral City Cove Trails.  Access to a couple of moderate(+) (more if you take them far) trails are at the end of the Cove, Channel  & Carroll, or the end of Foothill Rd, park on the street.  Great views of Cat City!
• Araby Trail in Palm Springs brings you past the Bob Hope house.

Art & Events

• Cathedral City Public Art, located throughout the city.
• Discover Cathedral City Special Events through the year including the Hot Air Balloon Festival, Taste of Jalisco, and LGBT Days.

Movies & Nightlife

• Mary Pickford D'Place movie theater.
• Coachella Valley Repertory live theater.  A not-for-profit professional theater company.
  
• Agua Caliente Casino Cathedral City.

Most lounges and nightclubs are located in Palm Springs or Palm Desert. However, in Cathedral City:
